How to Bet Over and Under Goals on iCrown

Key Points

You’re betting a total. iCrown puts a number in the football row, and you take the side above it or the side below it.

Add both teams’ goals at the final whistle. If the sum is higher than the number, over wins. If it’s lower, under wins. Who wore which shirt doesn’t grade this one.

People still type Icrown in the search bar. Older tabs may say Icrownplay. Same address, icrownplay.com. If you want the company name before you send any ringgit, it’s on about us.

A Winlah88 tab is a different login. Don’t copy a 2.5 from that screen onto this one. The price has to be the price in front of you.

  • Over 2.5 needs 3 goals or more. Two goals loses it.
  • Under 2.5 wins on 0, 1, or 2. A third goal kills it.
  • A whole number such as 2.0 can send the stake back when the total lands on it.
  • A quarter line such as 2.25 splits the stake. One half can win while the other comes back.
  • A 2-0 and a 1-1 are the same total. Both are two goals.

What over and under goals means

The board may shorten it to O/U, totals, or over/under. Same job. There’s a number in the middle. You pick a side of it.

You can ignore the table and the shirt you like. A heavy favourite can win 1-0 and the over still loses. An underdog can lose 3-2 and the over still wins. The scoreboard total is the only mark.

You are counting goals

Home, draw, away is a different row. That one asks who won. This one doesn’t. If you only care about the winner, stay on that row and leave the total alone.

Both teams to score is a neighbour, and it’s a different question too. Yes needs each side to score once. Over 2.5 can win on a 3-0, and both teams to score loses, because one side is still on nil. Same match. Two slips.

Full time includes the added minutes

Normal time is the 90, plus whatever the referee tacks on. A goal in the third minute of stoppage counts. It moves the total the same way it moves the score.

Half-time doesn’t settle a full-time total. You can be 0-0 at the break and still watch two goals after the restart. The whistle you’re waiting for is the one at the end, unless the label says first half.

Extra time needs its own label

Cup ties carry on. Extra time and a penalty shootout stay off a normal total unless the market name says so. Picture a tie that’s 1-1 after 90 minutes, then 2-1 after extra time. The regular total settles on 2. That third goal arrived after the market had already closed, so an over 2.5 was already a loser.

The grade follows the official result, and the rules that were live when the bet was accepted. Those rules are on the terms and conditions. When this page and the slip don’t match, trust the slip.

How a half line such as 2.5 settles

2.5 is the line most people learn first. A match can’t finish on half a goal, so the total can’t land on it. You win or you lose. There’s no refund.

  • Over 2.5 wins on 3, 4, 5, and anything higher.
  • Under 2.5 wins on 0, 1, and 2.
  • Over 1.5 wins on 2 or more. A 1-0 is enough. A 0-0 isn’t.
  • Over 3.5 needs 4. A 2-1 looks open and still loses.

The prices below are a teaching board, so you can see the shape. They aren’t the numbers on your screen tonight. Read the possible return on the slip before you confirm. If it prints a decimal, that figure includes your stake. Don’t convert it in your head while the anthem is playing.

RM10 at 1.80 on over 2.5 brings RM18 back if the third goal arrives. It brings nothing back if the match stays at 1-1. The RM18 includes the RM10 you put in. It isn’t RM18 on top.

How a whole line such as 2.0 settles

A whole number can land exactly. When it does, that selection is a push. The stake comes back. You don’t win, and you don’t lose.

Your slip0 or 1 goalExactly 23 or more
Over 2.0LosesStake backWins
Under 2.0WinsStake backLoses
Over 2.5LosesLosesWins
Under 2.5WinsWinsLoses

That’s why 2.0 and 2.5 aren’t the same button. On a 1-1, under 2.5 wins and over 2.0 only gives the stake back. People call both of them “around two goals”. The slip doesn’t.

How a quarter line such as 2.25 settles

2.25 isn’t a new kind of goal. It’s two bets stuck together. Half the stake sits on 2.0. Half sits on 2.5. Each half settles on its own, then the cashier adds them up.

Say you put RM20 on over 2.25 at 1.80. That’s RM10 on over 2.0 and RM10 on over 2.5.

  • 1 goal or fewer. Both halves lose. You get nothing back.
  • Exactly 2 goals. Over 2.0 returns the RM10. Over 2.5 loses. You’re down RM10. That’s a half loss.
  • 3 goals or more. Both halves win. RM10 at 1.80 is RM18, twice. RM36 comes back.

Under 2.25 is the mirror. Exactly 2 goals is a half win, because under 2.5 wins and under 2.0 only refunds. Three goals loses the lot.

What 2.75 does on three goals

2.75 works the same way, one step higher. Over 2.75 is half over 2.5 and half over 3.0. On exactly 3 goals, the 2.5 half wins and the 3.0 half pushes. You win half. On 2 goals you lose both. On 4 you win both.

If you can’t say which two lines your stake is sitting on, skip the quarter. Go back to 2.5 until the split feels dull. Dull is the point.

What a small stake returns

This table uses one price, 1.80, and a RM20 stake, so the rows are easy to compare. Your board will show a different number. The win, the loss, and the push stay the same.

Selection2 goals3 goalsIf the whole stake wins
Over 2.0Stake backWinsRM36
Over 2.25Half loss. RM10 backWinsRM36
Over 2.5LosesWinsRM36
Over 2.75LosesHalf win. RM28 backRM36
Over 3.0LosesStake backRM36
Under 2.5WinsLosesRM36

A half win isn’t RM36. On over 2.75 with exactly 3 goals, only the over 2.5 half pays at 1.80. That’s RM18. The over 3.0 half comes back as RM10. You hold RM28 from a RM20 stake. Do the two halves on paper before you raise the ringgit.

First half totals and team totals

The full-time total isn’t the only goals row on the card. The tricky ones use the same numbers and a different clock, or a different team.

A first half line ends at the break

A first-half total grades when the teams walk off. Added time in the first half counts. The second half doesn’t.

  • Over 0.5 first half needs one goal before the break. A 0-0 at half-time loses it, even if the match ends 2-1.
  • Over 1.5 first half needs two goals by the break. One goal at half-time isn’t enough.
  • A full-time over 2.5 is still alive at 0-0. The first-half version of that idea is already dead.

Say the period out loud. “First half, over 0.5.” If you only say “over 0.5”, you might be buying the whole match by mistake. That one is a shorter bet, because a lot of matches score at least once across 90 minutes.

A team total counts one side

A match total adds both teams. A team total doesn’t. Home over 1.5 team goals needs the home side to score twice, whatever the other side does.

A 1-1 is two on the match total, and one on each team total. Match over 1.5 wins. Home over 1.5 loses. Away over 0.5 wins. Same night, three answers.

Corners and cards are not goals

Some rows say over/under and then corners, or cards. A corner isn’t a goal. A yellow card isn’t a goal. If the label doesn’t say goals, you’re in a different market. Leave it until you can name the thing being counted.

Basketball on the same board uses points. A badminton total counts points in a game. A 2.5 there is a different sport. Don’t drag this page across.

Why a 2-0 is not one answer

Same full-time score, 2-0. Two goals in the match. Here’s what the neighbouring rows do with that one result. The side in the winner row is the side that won 2-0.

Look at the handicap row. A minus 0.5 can win on 2-0 while over 2.5 loses. They’re on the same screen. They aren’t the same bet. How the start works is already on how to read a football handicap on iCrown. Learn one line before you mix them on one ticket.

Read the slip before you send

Open the match on sports betting. Read the slip back once, out loud if you have to. Five checks, then you send.

  • The match, including the kick-off in Malaysia time
  • Over or under, and the exact number, not the row under it
  • Full time, first half, or a team total
  • The odds on the slip, not the ones you saw ten minutes ago
  • The stake in ringgit, and the possible return

A late Premier League kick-off is still a real debit if you send it half-asleep. Convert the clock. If you won’t watch, a pre-match single is the calmer ticket.

A live price is a fresh decision

Before kick-off, over 2.5 might sit at one price. Twenty quiet minutes, and it can drift. One goal, and it can shorten in a blink. The number itself can move too.

Goals already on the board are inside the match total you’re buying. You aren’t betting “two more from now” unless the label says remaining. A match that’s 1-0 still needs the full count, including that goal, to clear over 2.5.

If the book asks you to accept a new price, that’s a new decision. Compare it with the number you wrote. Worse, and you no longer want it? Cancel. Don’t accept because the whistle is close.

The number at send is the one that pays

Putting a selection on the slip isn’t a lock. The figure at send is the one that settles. A screenshot of the old price won’t win an argument with your history.

On a phone, 2.5 and 2.25 sit too close. Shade the screen. Confirm the number twice. The mobile app uses the same wallet as the browser. A tap on the row underneath still spends the stake.

If the page freezes, wait. Open history before you do anything else. No accepted slip means the stake should still be sitting in the wallet. Don’t send a second one just to feel sure. Waiting on a third goal is also a bad time to open live casino. That’s another stake, from the same ringgit, on a clock that has nothing to do with the match.

A bonus doesn’t change the total

A goals slip and a bonus don’t automatically go together. Open promotions after you log in. Copy the name, the minimum odds, and the markets it allows. A reel extra often leaves the sportsbook out.

Which extra can sit on a slip is already on which iCrown bonus counts on a sports slip. Read that before you try to clear a slot extra with an over 2.5.

If the sheet is silent on totals, don’t guess. Skip the extra and stake your own ringgit, or pick a market the sheet actually names. A smaller stake you can explain beats a line you took only to move a counter.

Questions people ask before kick-off

What over and under goals means

You bet whether both teams’ goals, added together, finish above or below a line. You don’t pick the winner. On a half line such as 2.5 there’s no refund. On a whole line such as 2.0, an exact landing sends the stake back.

What over 2.5 needs

Three goals or more. 1-1 loses. 2-0 loses. 2-1 wins. 3-0 wins. Stoppage in the 90 counts. Extra time doesn’t, unless the market name says extra time.

What under 2.5 needs

Zero, one, or two goals. A third goal loses it, even in the 94th minute. Under isn’t the safe side. It only fits a match that stays quiet.

What happens on exactly 2.0

Over 2.0 and under 2.0 both push on exactly two goals. You get that stake back, not a profit. Over 2.5 still loses on two, because 2.5 has no push.

What 2.25 does to your stake

Half goes on 2.0 and half goes on 2.5. On over 2.25, exactly two goals is a half loss. Three or more is a full win. One or fewer is a full loss. If you can’t split it on paper, leave the quarter line.

Does the winner change the total

Not on a match total. 2-0 and 1-1 are both two goals. The winner matters on the home, draw, away row, on a handicap, and on a team total. Read the row name so you know which one you bought.

Do own goals count

Yes. The ball crossed the line. The total doesn’t care whose foot it came off. A 1-0 own goal is still one goal.

Can over and under both win

No. They’re opposites on the same number. If over 2.5 wins, under 2.5 loses. If a whole line pushes, both sides get the stake back. Nobody gets paid twice.

What a postponed match does

A postponed or abandoned match can void, depending on the rules and how far the game got. Don’t invent a grade from a group chat. Check the slip the next day. If it’s still pending and the status looks wrong, use the account you bet with.

Do esports totals use this page

They don’t. A map or round total on esports betting isn’t a football goal count. An over 2.5 here doesn’t explain a Dota price. Open that board on its own and read the market text there.

What if the accepted slip looks wrong

Stop. Leave the next ticket alone. Screenshot the slip, the time in Malaysia, and the stake. Send that one photo through contact us. iCrown lists the office at 1688G2, Jalan Perusahaan, 14000 Bukit Mertajam, Pulau Pinang. The phone on the site is 04-507 7532. Nobody from the site should ask for your full password in a private chat.

Keep the week’s bills out of this wallet. 18 or older, and only money you can lose. If the night’s getting loud, set a limit on responsible gaming and close the tab. One total. One slip. Then stop.
